La Artrosis u Osteoartritis es una condición altamente prevalente en todo el mundo, se asocia principalmente al envejecimiento de la población. Tiene un gran impacto funcional en los individuos que la padecen, de ahí la importancia de realizar el diagnóstico de esta patología a nivel de atención primaria, para tratarla a tiempo y evitar la progresión y daño articular.
En Chile, la artrosis de rodilla y cadera han sido incorporadas al sistema de garantías explicitas en salud (GES), para lo cual, grupos de expertos, han desarrollado guías de práctica clínica. Sin embargo, la adherencia a estas guías ha tenido serias dificultades en su implementación, tanto por falta de conocimientos, como por falta de acceso a exámenes, a medicamentos y a especialistas.
Este curso pretende actualizar y profundizar los conocimientos sobre Artrosis para profesionales APS, con respecto a la fisiopatología, diagnóstico y tratamiento, basado en las guías clínicas nacionales e internacionales.
